Whoop Whoop, Semster Close to Finished

So the semester comes to an end. Let’s look at this rationally, school never ends there’s always something else to study one last paper or project that you are trying to rush to finish. You pull all nighters drinking Red Bull and eating Funions because that all you have time to go get at the gas station. Its alright because this is what we sign up for as students, professors were there they want us to experience what they did continuing the pressures to perform. It’s a illustration of the real world, the boss man asking you to do a presentation the day you plan to leave for a wedding anniversary and your kids running a fever and your dog ran away. The pressures of life don’t slow down, time just seems to speed up. All of this makes you realize how nice it was when you were young playing outside no cares in the world. It makes you appreciate the good time and look and say maybe that wasn’t so bad.

Cherokee People Cherokee Pride!!!!!!

Cherokee…North Carolina by far one of those places that is in the middle of nowhere. Why can I say that well because in order to get cell phone reception you have to sit on you head, while whistling a folk song and touching you nose. It was bad and there was no place to eat, besides big bobs and backwoods burger. There was an Indian casino which we couldn’t go into to get the buffet because everyone on our team was not 21, come on no wonder there not making any money. Well the trip itself was successful. We were able to take a sweep from Western Carolina and boost our teams RPI rating up to number 13 in the nation. That is not too shabby. I hope that we can continue the good play and make it to the regional tournament which as of right now we are project to make it in the final 5 picks of the 64. All of this doesn’t change the fact that we were in the middle of nowhere. Oh well it was worth it to get further behind in school.

Hunny? Honey? Moon?

So the groom’s job is to make sure there is a place to go for the honeymoon. So why it is so hard to find a place that is affordable. I have a theory on this. That is most people that are getting married are older graduated and have been working in their job for a few years. This marital economy knows that this is the niche market and milks them for all they are worth. Now the people who really get in trouble are the poor BYU couples who don’t have the time and have morals of non cohabitation that they can’t wait till they are 32 to get married. So back to the honeymoon, why they are so expensive as well as having so many choices, this one has that, that one has this. None of these resorts or hotels have offers the same as other offers or discounts or times available. It’s all one big conspiracy to me.

World Baseball

So we are here in San Diego and are here between games. We as a team got the opportunity to go to the World Baseball Classic. The two teams that were playing were Japan and Cuba. It was a great opportunity to see different cultures play the sport I love. Some of the amusing moments of the game were watching the Japanese fans cheer, they had all sorts of chants and balloons they would blow up it was crazy hearing all the unison of the cheers for their favorite players. The Cuban fans on the other hand were flat out crazy. They had drums, trumpets, marachas as well as every other type of noise making device. They played and banged all game without stopping which was amazing in on itself. It got annoying towards the end of the game but none the less entertaining. I did get a ball from one of the players in the Japanese bullpen and had front row seats down the right field line. It was great getting to spend an evening seeing something I would not otherwise had the opportunity to do if we were not playing in San Diego.

Study Study for what? Not Sucess

So life in the fast lane continues to get more and more exciting. By that I mean missing more class every week as the semester continues. Have you ever tried to take a test that you missed half of the material and had to teach yourself? No, I have. It’s a great and wonderful feeling leaving the testing center getting miserable grades. I just love it. So baseball continues, class continues the endless war between coach’s demands and teachers demands. There are sleepless nights of trying to get your exhausted mind and body to move, to think, to study. Then when all is done, you think you’re ready to take the leap to take the test. The last day even paying your 5 buck late fee, you sit down confident read the first question and there it is a blank mind the light bulb burned out and you’re sitting there staring at the paper thinking oh, JUNK this is going to suck.

BYU BASEBALL

I am so tired of not winning close games. Our team has so much potential yet we cannot find the secret receipt to finish the games off. We so far have six losses and four are by one run. This is so frustrating. I think that our team has the ability to make it to the regionals and World Series if we can win these close games. I don’t think it has to do with coaching motivation or anything that the opposing team is doing. I think that we as a team need to decide that we are not going to lay off the pressure on the other team. We are going to win every inning, every out and make every game as if it’s the last of the season. I think our teams should be worried about the team winning not the individual. When we can accomplish this I we can finish the season on the right note.

Sickly PART 2

So sick again, this is going to be a long run. So this past week I found out that not only am I sick with unholy phlegm disease (aka death cold) as well as a staph infection in my leg. All of this hits me while we are playing games every week. The end is never there, I feel better then it hits again. I got to fight this sickness as well as an infection. I am doing the best I can as well as I seeing a doctor to get medication. I hope that I can soon feel better, though I don’t know how long it could take seeing that we are traveling a lot lately. Airports have lots of illnesses around I hope that I don’t get anything else while my immune system is torn down. Well until then its drugs and coughs, oh well, I’ll live to see another day.
